The Bund in Shanghai is one of the most famous waterfronts in Asia, historically home to financial institutions and trading houses from across the globe.

近年来，位于徐汇区黄浦江西岸的上海西岸成为城市开发的重点地区，兴建了各类文化艺术场馆、商业中心及公共空间。延续上海的滨水贸易传统，江畔坐落着最负盛名的楼宇。西岸金融城位于西岸核心地段，是香港置地规模最大的单体投资项目。通过参与国际设计竞赛，我们成功获选为 E 地块和 F 地块高端生活区的首席设计团队。

In recent years the West Bund – on the west bank of the Huangpu River in the Xuhui district – has become a focus for development, with cultural and art venues, commercial centres and new areas of public space. The most prestigious of these are located on the river itself, continuing the city’s tradition of trade on the waterfront. Sitting on a premium site is the West Bund Financial Hub, the largest single-project investment by Hongkong Land. Following an international design competition, we are appointed as lead design architects for the luxury lifestyle offering on Plots E and F.

项目功能多元，涵盖高端零售、办公园区，以及文化与公共空间。项目方案充分体现香港置地"新都市进化论"开发理念，即采用以人为本，倡导可持续、亲近自然的生活方式的城市设计模式。沿江畔规划一条长达 1.2 公里的高端商业街，并与天文馆、种子博物馆等文化设施融合联通。景观设计也是项目的核心元素，绿化露台、下沉广场及口袋公园等各类空间与其他功能区无缝融合。

The programme is varied, bringing together high-end retail spaces, an office campus and cultural and civic spaces. The development follows Hongkong Land’s ‘new urban evolution’: a model for urban design that puts people first and envisions a lifestyle underpinned by sustainability and nature. A 1.2-kilometre-long retail avenue of upscale shops will run along the waterfront, interconnected with cultural buildings such as a planetarium and Seeds Museum. Landscape is integral, with green terraces, sunken plazas and pocket parks woven into the development.
