The residential portion of the Bund Fosun mixed-use development in East Wuhan is designed to provide a place of calm and connect urban dwellers to the natural identity of their city.

Making up the three western and southwestern parcels of the development, Bund Fosun’s six residential towers are oriented at offset angles to maximize views of the nearby river. Reminiscent of water ripples, the facades cascade in horizontal waves of glass and glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC). The chosen materials reflect and shimmer in the sunlight, further evoking the nearby body of water and relating to the curved landscaping and wavelike retail podiums.

The towers offer ample outdoor space, including glass-enclosed roof terraces with gardens and open-air pools, spacious balconies for the residences, and ground-level green space. At street level, the form of the buildings flares out to create rain covers above the entrances, while the bulk of parking is contained underground. The six towers range in height from 200 to 250 meters tall, creating an ascending skyline that reaches a peak at the development’s iconic twin towers.
