This transformational project saw ASPECT Studios create much-needed open public space for families, residents and tourists on the Sydney waterfront, in part by creating a new benchmark for water play spaces. Located on Darling Harbour, one of Australia’s most-visited tourist attractions, the 1.5-hectare Darling Quarter comprises office towers and retail buildings knitted into place by a landscape designed by ASPECT Studios.

The heart of that landscape is the largest playground in the Sydney CBD. Bursting with details that encourage play and invite exploration, the playground contains a mix of familiar play equipment and less prescriptive play objects, spread across a modulated terrain. The interactive water play feature winds its way throughout the playground, underpinning a design philosophy that makes room for “acceptable risk” in spaces intended for the use of children.

景观的核心是悉尼中央商务区最大的游乐场。游乐场充满了鼓励玩耍和探索的细节，融合了常见的游乐设施和有趣的游乐项目，分布在经过精心设计的地形上。互动式水上游乐设施蜿蜒贯穿整个游乐场，体现了在儿童空间中留出“可接受的风险”的设计理念。
