本项目立面设计以杭州“灯笼之乡”的美誉作为出发点，充分利用轴线对称的方式加强中心门户的标志性。结合“华灯初上”的概念，利用体块的咬合强化门户形象。将中国红灯笼元素突出，打造“繁华城市灯塔”的意向，以迎天下之客。希望把项目打造成临平及杭州的形象门户，也寓意杭州面向世界的兴盛与勃发。同时运用了中国传统的榫卯结构，黄金分割比例，再加上横向和竖向线条呼应，使得建筑造型更有地标性。

Resonating Hangzhou’s reputation as being ‘a city of lanterns’, the simple symmetrical façade strengthens the uniqueness of the project. It highlights the traditional lantern features, creating a lighthouse for the city. The project is designed to create a powerful gateway for Linping and Hangzhou, signifying the prosperity of the city. The architectural form adopts the Chinese traditional mortise and tenon structure, complemented with regular vertical and horizontal lines.
