This project is a reconstruction of the Osaka Mitsubishi Building, a symbol of the region (completed in 1969). Taking advantage of its iconic location where Midosuji, the hub of business and transportation, intersects with the Dojima River, the hub of culture and administration, this large-scale complex is themed around promoting exchanges between business, tourism, and local areas, and between government and the private sector.
The lower floors will house offices, the upper floors will house a hotel, and the middle floors will house tourist facilities for public relations and corporate events. By combining these functions that extend into the local area, the entire building was intended to be "a theater-like space where you can experience the charm of Osaka from the front row." The adjacent Dojima Park and tourist boat dock will also be integrated, enhancing the symbolism of "Aqua City Osaka" and contributing to strengthening the area's disaster prevention capabilities through water infrastructure.

A panoramic view from the Dojima River. The riverbank disaster prevention boat landing was the first of its kind in Osaka Prefecture and was developed by a private company. By using a floating pier (pontoon) that is not affected by tidal fluctuations, it has greatly contributed to improving urban disaster prevention functions and promoting tourism. Tall trees have been planted in rows to link with the neighboring blocks, and facade and exterior of the lower floors, as well as the terraces on the middle and upper floors, are unified with stone and brick materials to connect the urban spatial experience, continuing the stone landscape along Midosuji.
The 16th floor is a sightseeing facility with a cafe, a city tourism hub, and city sales functions. The tourist lounge is directly connected to the hotel on the upper floor by stairs. A wooden deck terrace surrounded by glass walls surrounds the building. A new tourist spot offering a panoramic view of the water city of Osaka.
