This new convention center serves as an urban focal point, providing a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces including an expo center, exhibition and banquet halls, a waterfront plaza and hotel.

Part of the greater Tencent Shenzhen Headquarters Project (Net City), and located at the tip of Qianhai Bay, the convention center evokes a dramatic maritime gateway with arcs, lifts and curves that form dynamic and beautiful plazas and courtyards. A waterfront park surrounds the civic center with a series of zones and activities weaving in, around and under the building.

The large, unobstructed South Event Plaza extends south from the Commons to the waterfront. Capable of accommodating the largest civic events, the plaza features beautiful stone pavers with flowing patterns; interactive, large scale water geysers; and sculptural light features.
